On
3 July 1933 the golden wedding of
Petrus
Josephus Van Dyck (1855-1944) and Maria Dymphna Amelia Bossaerts (1856-1937),
or uncle Jef and aunt Lie, was celebrated.
The menu, the many speeches, felicitations, songs (even an image story)
and poems of this celebration were carefully preserved.
On 2 March 1996 a family reunion of the descendants of Van Dyck-Bossaerts
with 140 descendants (and relatives) was organised. In the Parish church
of Herenthout, where they were married 113 year ago, a mass was dedicated
by E.H. J. Van Dyck, also a descendant.
Several descendants from the different branches have read some texts.
The celebration was in Nijlen.
On 31 May 1996 the branch of Van Dyck-Bossaerts counted 253 descendants,
of which were 233 persons still alive.
