At a very young age he was obsessed of cartoons. In these stories were all kinds of cities and houses and he was curious what these places would look like in the real life. In his free time he began sketching them from inside to outside. Little did he know that this would later become a life-long passion.
He graduated from HMC College Amsterdam in 2011 as an Interior Advisor. After HMC, he started a new study in Belgium at Thomas More University, where he graduated in June 2014 as an interior and furniture designer. During his studies, Ruben has worked for several architectural and design companies that allowed him to grow as a designer.
His skills include:
- Computer programs - Vectorworks, AutoCAD, and P-con
- 3D programs - Vectorworks, Sketch up, Kerkitea, and P-con
- Presentation programs - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Works well in a team or individually
- Quick learner
- Problem solver
His focus is primarily based on concept designing, where he creates a balance between using materials, colour, function and connections between rooms. The result has to comply what the customer required. |
